LDS Prophets and Apostles

For those that believe in the LDS restoration – you know that god inspires us ( latter day saints a great deal )!

The following are words of modern prophets – called scriptures and they are very exacting in what they say to us if – we do not heed these words…

This not by accident, it’s by purpose and design – for GOD has said,

The purpose of becoming spiritually and temporally self-reliant is to become better able to serve the Lord and care for others (see John 15:8). The Savior invites us all to act, to stand independent, and to become as He is. He will help us. He has promised: “It is my purpose to provide for my saints, for all things are mine. But it must needs be done in mine own way” {Please make note of Doctrine and Covenants 104: 15-18 as follows –

15 And it is my purpose to provide for my saints, for all things are mine. ( Again all things are the Lords. )

16 But it must needs be done in mine own away; and behold this is the way that I, the Lord, have decreed to provide for my saints, that the bpoor shall be exalted, in that the rich are made low.

( Poor exalted – how is that to be done?  Rich to be made low – how is that to be done? )

17 For the aearth is full, and there is enough and to spare; yea, I prepared all things, and have given unto the children of men to be bagents unto themselves.

( as agents of God – servants of God – We will be require to give and account of our stewardship to God! ).

18 Therefore, if any man shall take of the aabundance which I have made, and impart not his portion, according to the blaw of my gospel, unto the cpoor and the needy, he shall, with the wicked, lift up his eyes in dhell, being in torment.}

( If we do not give – of our abundance – to the poor and needy – what does God – say will happen to us? )

(D&C 104:15–16). His way includes learning and living the principles of self-reliance—“the ability, commitment, and effort to provide the necessities of life for self and family” (Providing in the Lord’s Way: Summary of a Leader’s Guide to Welfare[2009]).

As pertaining to  GOOD WORKS and good choice – I quote another scripture,

There is a warning at the beginning and end but not blessing in middle – thanks –

26 For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is acompelled in all things, the same is a bslothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward.

27 Verily I say, men should be aanxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;

28 For the power is in them, wherein they are aagents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their breward.

29 But he that adoeth not anything until he is commanded, and receiveth a commandment with bdoubtful heart, and keepeth it with slothfulness, the same is cdamned.

See the section on Self Reliance!

Note that self reliance is more than just money and things – it’s a stewardship of our God given talents, to bless is and others – to come unto Christ, and partake of eternal life or Eternal live(s) – by covenant and by righteousness – so we can be bless forever!!!
